Bruichladdich – 15 Year Old Greener Still

Greener Still is a 15 year old single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay. It is the fourth expression in the distillery's Still Series and was released to mark 25 years since Bruichladdich reopened in 2001. The focus here is barley. The whisky combines organic barley grown in Scotland, biodynamic barley from England and ancient Bere barley from Orkney. It is made from non-peated malt and was matured entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels on Islay. The nose brings lavender, honeysuckle, toasted oak, apple crumble and cinnamon sugar, with heather and rosemary. Ripe pear and honeyed citrus lead the palate, and the finish is smooth and velvety, ending with vanilla and a hint of salinity.
