Octave
A single malt from Bruichladdich, distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2020 at 18 years old and a cask strength of 53.2%. Duncan Taylor selected it for their Octave series, and only 63 bottles were filled from the one cask. The whisky was pale gold before its time in octave casks and old gold afterwards. The nose is lightly peated, with sweet malt, melon, green fruit and a little milky coffee. On the palate there is baked apple with raisins, butter and cinnamon, soft peat smoke and sweet lime juice. The finish is long and clean, with briny, earthy notes and a touch of white pepper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
