Bruichladdich – 18 Year Old (70cl, 50%)

This is an 18-year-old unpeated single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's first ongoing 18-year-old release since its revival in 2001. The whisky was aged on Islay, mostly in ex-bourbon barrels, with a smaller share of ex-wine casks adding fruit and spice. The nose offers runny honey, butterscotch and orange citrus. On the palate, tropical fruits are joined by mellow, toasted oak that lingers.
