This Bruichladdich is a 30 year old single malt from Islay, bottled at 46.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The spirit was distilled in 1988 from unpeated malted barley and matured in refill bourbon casks and hogsheads until it was bottled.
The nose brings ripe berries and cherries with honey, dried apricots, raisins, citrus oil, hazelnut and chocolate. On the palate there are roasted notes, amaretto and juicy apricots, with a fine touch of salt. The finish is long, with oak alongside.
