Bruichladdich – 2002 The Maltman 14 Years Old Sherry Butt (70cl, 54.9%)

This is a Bruichladdich single malt bottled by Meadowside Blending under The Maltman name. It was distilled in July 2002 and matured for 14 years in a sherry butt before bottling in April 2017. Just 562 bottles were filled, at 54.9% in a 70cl size. Bruichladdich sits on the north shore of Loch Indaal on Islay, across the water from Bowmore. Its stills are open in shape and not especially tall, and it runs its own bottling hall, the only one on the island.
