This is a 21-year-old single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle for the ReDefine edition. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colour. The whisky combines 80% bourbon-cask malt with 20% from Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It was distilled from traceable Scottish barley, and distilled, matured and bottled on Islay. The bottle sits in a coloured sleeve of moulded paper fibre made with James Cropper. On the nose there is toast, dried apricots, berries and plums, with almond paste and clear malt. The palate is smooth and almost oily, with nutmeg, clove, fennel seed and ripe fruit. The finish is medium to long, with desiccated coconut, oak and bitter orange peel.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
