Bruichladdich – 30 Year Old (70cl, 43%)

Bruichladdich Thirty is a 30 year old Islay single malt, matured throughout in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 43%. It marks the revival of the Victorian distillery and recalls the people who laid the spirit down three decades ago, when the distillery's future was uncertain. Bruichladdich is made without peat, and its whiskies are bottled unchill-filtered and without colouring. This one is described as having toasted oak, honey and soft vanilla, with a hint of dark chocolate, an elegant floral profile and a gentle trace of sea air.
