Bruichladdich – 3D3 Third Edition (70cl, 46%)

Bruichladdich 3D3 is a tribute bottling to Norrie Campbell, the last traditional peat cutter on Islay. Jim McEwan put it together, and this is the third edition, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The name stands for three ages, three cask types and three peat levels. It is a single malt made from Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte and Octomore. The nose is a peat bomb with salt, fruit and a hint of sweetness. The palate offers citrus, apple, malt, toffee, peat and a medicinal note, and the finish is dry and long.
