Black Art 10.1 is a limited edition 29-year-old unpeated single malt from Bruichladdich, a vintage from 1993. It was matured entirely on Islay in casks from the distillery's pre-renaissance stock, and bottled on 20 September 2022 at 45.1%, in a 70cl bottle. The Black Art series began in 2012.
The nose is bright and fruity, moving to praline, cedar and leather. On the palate come orange barley sugars, ginger nut biscuits and lemon meringue pie, with toasted oak adding soft chocolate and vanilla.
The finish is smooth and velvety, with tablet and fudge, subtle tobacco and a touch of ginger.
