Bruichladdich – Black Art 10.1 (70cl, 45.1%)

Bruichladdich Black Art 10.1 is an unpeated Islay single malt from the distillery's Black Art series, in a 70cl bottle at 45.1% ABV. The whisky has been maturing since 1993 in casks the distillery held from the time before its closure. The series keeps its barley varieties and cask types a closely guarded secret. The nose is fruity, with cedar, toasted oak, chocolate pralines and leather. On the palate come orange barley sugar, ginger and nut pastry, lemon, marzipan and apricot jam, then toasted oak, soft chocolate and vanilla. The texture is velvety and the finish soft.
