Bruichladdich – Black Art 11 24 Year Old

Bruichladdich Black Art 11 is the eleventh edition of the distillery's Black Art series, a 24 year old single malt. It is drawn only from Bruichladdich's pre-renaissance stock and created by head distiller Adam Hannett, who alone knows the recipe. The barley and cask types are undisclosed. The nose offers dried fruits, leather, citrus and a sea breeze, with poached pear, rose hip syrup, black cherry, mango, cedar, butterscotch, praline and honey. On the palate come dates, raisins, barley sugar, coconut, apple, toasted oak, warming wood spice, dark plums and marzipan. The finish is rounded, with oak, dried fruit, sultanas, fig and lingering honey.
