This is a 19-year-old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, the first release in the new Black Art series. It is bottled at 47.8% ABV without chill-filtration or colouring. Grain, casks and maturation details are kept private by master blender Adam Hannett, and only the age and strength are given. The nose is rich, with dark chocolate, orange zest and a touch of black cherry, followed by honey, vanilla and roasted notes. The palate has malted barley, maple syrup, caramelised brown sugar and warm spice. The finish is long and warm, with vanilla, oak, cocoa and molasses.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
