Bruichladdich – Black Art Edition 11.1 24 Year Old (70cl, 44.2%)

Black Art 11.1 is a 24-year-old unpeated single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled at 44.2% in a 70cl bottle and supplied in a metal tube. It is the eleventh Black Art edition and Adam Hannett's seventh. Hannett used only stocks laid down before the distillery reopened in 2001. The whisky matured entirely on Islay, and the casks used in the vatting remain undisclosed. It is non-chill-filtered and free of added colour. The nose combines dried fruit, leather, citrus and sea breeze with poached pear, rosehip syrup, black cherry and mango. The palate brings dates, raisins, barley sugar, oak, praline and marzipan. The rounded finish of oak and dried fruit recalls Christmas fruit cake, with honey lingering.
