Bruichladdich – Islay Barley 2012 (70cl, 50%)

Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2012 is an unpeated single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at a cask strength of 50% in a 70cl bottle. The barley was grown on eight central and western Islay farms in 2011. Matured for a minimum of eight years, 75% of the whisky spent its full term in first fill American whisky casks and 25% in French wine casks. The Islay Barley series is Bruichladdich's way of showing terroir in single malt, with climate, soil and local weather all shaping flavour and quality in the distillery's view.
