Octomore 09.2 Dialogos is a five-year-old single malt from the Octomore range at Bruichladdich, distilled in 2012 and bottled at 58.2% in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 12,000 bottles.
It was finished in Bordeaux wine casks, and the notes follow the wine: blackcurrants, red plums, raspberries and old roses on the nose, with earthy smoke, roast meat and a balsamic touch.
The palate is dark and syrupy, with black forest gateau, kirsch, sour cherries and pipe tobacco, and peat in a supporting role. The finish is long, with red fruits, spice and peppery smoke.
