This is the second release of the 10 year old Octomore from Bruichladdich, an Islay single malt bottled at 57.3% ABV. It was distilled in December 2005 and peated to 167 ppm.
The whisky was matured in first-fill bourbon casks and Grenache Blanc casks. In this edition the soft, sweet fruit of the Grenache comes through more strongly and meets the phenolic depth of the peat.
A total of 18000 bottles exist worldwide.
