Bruichladdich – Octomore 13.1 Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 59.2%)

Octomore 13.1 is a heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled at a cask strength of 59.2% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit spent five years in first-fill ex-American oak casks. In 2021 the head distiller, Adam Hannett, recasked it into fresh first-fill ex-American oak casks, a twist on the series. The second maturation adds dark toffee, coconut and vanilla to the heavy smoke, which sits alongside the fruity, floral character of the distillate.
