Octomore 14.3 is a five-year-old single malt from Bruichladdich, made from 100% Islay-grown Concerto barley of the 2016 harvest. It was distilled in 2017 at 214.2ppm and matured in first-fill ex-American whiskey casks.
The nose is of hot, sweet mash. The palate opens with delicate oak, followed by smouldering peat and floral hints of gorse and honeysuckle. The finish has malted barley, caramel and vanilla, balanced by an earthy peat smoke and a hint of salt spray.
