Bruichladdich – Octomore 14.3

Octomore 14.3 is an Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, made with barley grown on Octomore farm, close to the distillery. It is a cereal-forward whisky, matured in a blend of first-fill ex-American whiskey casks and second-fill wine casks. The oak works with the grain, leaving the flavour of the Islay barley to show. On the nose there is hot sweet mash, earthy peat smoke and soft biscuit. The palate brings creamy porridge and cereal notes, with butterscotch, honeycomb and a touch of vanilla, and the smoke lingers on the finish.
