Octomore 15.2 is a heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich, made from 100% Scottish Concerto barley with a peat level of 108.22 PPM. It was matured for five years in second-fill wine casks and bourbon casks, then finished in a first-fill Cognac cask.
The colour is deep amber.
The nose offers caramel and toffee, black pepper, peat smoke, sweet citrus and lightly toasted oak. On the palate it is smooth and rich, with peat, caramel and spice, fruit, sharper spice and a little wood. The finish brings peat smoke together with toffee and oak, and lingers.
