Octomore 16.1 is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, matured in first-fill bourbon casks and bottled at 59.3%.
It offers intense peat smoke with a surprising finesse. Salted caramel, honeydew melon and apricot mingle with chocolate and coconut, alongside a soft wave of earthy minerality.
The interplay of sweet, salty and smoky elements runs through to a lingering smoky finish.
