Octomore 16.2 is a super heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 58.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from 100% Scottish mainland Concerto barley, malted to 101.4ppm, and was distilled in 2019 from the 2018 harvest.
The whisky is five years old. It matured in Oloroso and Bordeaux casks, then spent its final year in Madeira and Portuguese Moscatel casks.
Caramelised sugar, roasted nuts and dried fruits come through, wrapped in sweet campfire smoke.
