Octomore 17.1 is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 59.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is distilled from 100% Scottish mainland Concerto barley, malted to 81.0 ppm.
The whisky spent its entire maturation in first-fill bourbon barrels. It is described as deep but balanced in its smoke, with notes of salt, smoke and sweetness, alongside sweet malt, fresh sea air and earthy peat.
