Octomore 17.3 is a single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled at 60.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matured for five years without interruption in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and second-fill European oak casks, among them Ribera del Duero, Sauternes, Eiswein and Syrah.
The whisky is made from ingredients grown on one farm, in one field, in a single harvest year. Bruichladdich reopened in 2001 and has since kept as much of its work as possible on Islay.
