Port Charlotte 10 Years Old is a single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay. It was introduced in 2018 as the flagship Port Charlotte expression. It is peated to 40 ppm and bottled at 50%.
The whisky comes from a mix of first-fill American whisky casks, second-fill American whisky casks and second-fill French wine casks.
The nose is salted caramel brownie, flamed orange peel and a good dose of seaweed. The palate has oak smoke and salty sea air, alongside sweeter notes of custard cream biscuits and white grapes. The finish is ginger biscuits, rye toast and drying peat smoke.
