Port Charlotte 10 Years is a peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, introduced in 2018 as the flagship of the Port Charlotte range. The malt is peated to 40 ppm.
It is matured in a combination of first-fill American whiskey casks, second-fill American whiskey casks and second-fill French wine casks.
The nose brings salted caramel brownie, flamed orange peel and a savoury hint of seaweed. On the palate, oak smoke and salty sea air sit alongside sweeter custard cream biscuits and white grapes. The finish has ginger snaps, rye toast and dry peat smoke.
