Bruichladdich – Port Charlotte 10 Years (70cl, 50%)

Port Charlotte 10 Years is a heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was built in 1881 by the Harvey brothers, at a time when demand for whisky was very high both in the United Kingdom and abroad. The nose brings salted caramel brownie, flamed orange peel and a firm note of seaweed. On the palate there is oaky smoke and salty sea air, alongside sweeter touches of custard biscuits and grapes. The finish carries ginger snaps, rye toast and drying peat smoke.
