This is a single malt from Bruichladdich's Port Charlotte range, and the first Port Charlotte distilled entirely from Islay barley. The barley was grown on seven farms across the island.
The malt is peated to 40 ppm.
The nose combines bracken, bluebells and warm peat with sea air, guava, papaya, kiwi, lemon and mint. On the palate there is dry peat alongside fruit, caramelised wood sugar, lemon and pepper, followed by a long finish.
