Bruichladdich Re/Define 18 Year Old is an Islay single malt aged for 18 years in a mix of ex-bourbon and wine casks. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle.
It is made with unpeated Islay-grown barley, so its character comes from the grain rather than smoke.
The nose brings citrus zest, barley sweetness, warm oak, gentle florals and a hint of coastal air. The palate is silky, with creamy vanilla, bright fruit, malt, soft spice and oak. The finish is long and clean, with lingering sweetness, subtle spice and a maritime freshness.
