Rescue One Seven Seven is an Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, part of the Distillery Micro-Provenance Series. It is a single cask whisky distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2015 at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The label carries the Gannet SAR Flight and the Sea King Mk V.
The nose is intensely fruity, with banana, citrus and tropical fruit, plus cut grass, herbs, caramel and cask character. The palate is oily and dense, with pears, pepper, malt, peach and a light salty sea breeze. The finish is long, soft and lingering, with sweet fruit, caramel and a delicate touch of oak.
