The Organic is an 8 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled in 2019 at 50% ABV.
It is made with organic barley grown at Mid Coul Farms and matured in ex-bourbon casks. Bruichladdich works with a range of barley varieties around the distillery to see how well each suits Islay and whisky production, and this bottling comes from that work. The style is unpeated.
It is described as malty and grainy, with vanilla, light fruit, citrus and a touch of oak spice.
