A 19 year old Kentucky bourbon from Buffalo Trace, drawn from the O.F.C. Vintage Collection. The name looks back to the Old Fashioned Copper Distillery, now home to Buffalo Trace. This one was distilled in 2006 and is bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof). It comes in a hand-cut crystal decanter.
The nose offers dark cherry, vanilla bean, old oak and caramelised sugar, with hints of leather and tobacco. On the palate it is velvety and rich, with dark chocolate, dried fruit, cinnamon, toasted nuts and seasoned oak. The finish is long, carrying spice, leather and sweet oak.
