Bumbu XO is an aged Panamanian rum, distilled from molasses and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured for up to 18 years in ex-bourbon American white oak barrels, then given a final rest in sherry casks from Andalusia. It is a pure aged rum, made for sipping neat or over ice.
The nose is deep, with toffee, roasted oak, orange zest, vanilla and dark chocolate. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with caramelised sugar, coffee and baking spice over oak and molasses, and a hint of dried fruit and leather. The finish is long and warm, with sweet spice, charred oak and a little smoke.
