A 12 year old single malt from Bunnahabhain on Islay, dating from the 1990s.
The colour is gold. The nose is nutty, leathery sherry with a saline, meaty edge, developing wet leaves, mushrooms, walnut oil and hessian. The palate is big, salty and earthy, with tobacco, walnuts, leather, salted almonds and old Amontillado, plus bouillon, game meats and putty. The finish is of good length, leathery, salty, meaty and nutty.
