Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair is an Islay single malt bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery sits on the Sound of Islay, in the north-eastern corner of the island opposite Jura. It was built in 1881, and its site was so remote that a long, winding road to the shore had to be laid first.
The water comes from an underground spring, the Margadale river, and is relatively low in peat for Islay. The founders' descendants, Highland Distillers, owned the distillery until 2003. Burn Stewart Distillers now owns it.
