Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky and the beginning of the distillery's core range. Bunnahabhain means mouth of the river in Gaelic, and the distillery dates from 1881, when William Robertson founded it with the Greenlees brothers.
Unlike most Islay whiskies, it is not heavily peated or smoky. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
It is described as a balance of sweet fruit, nuts and vanilla, with a delicate coastal influence.
