This is a 20 year old Bunnahabhain from Islay, distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2024 by Signatory in its Cask Strength Collection. It was matured in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt, number 800190, and bottled at cask strength in a 70cl bottle.
The nose shows dried fruit such as raisins and dates, with dark chocolate and salted butter caramel. The palate is rich and creamy, with sherry, candied plums and soft spice, and a light maritime note. The finish is long and warm, with fine wood, macerated red fruit and a touch of salt.
