This is the second annual release of Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old Cask Strength, bottled at 56.6% ABV. It is unpeated and generously sherried, matured mainly in first and second-fill Oloroso sherry casks with a touch of Bourbon barrels. The release takes its inspiration from the Warehouse 9 experience at the distillery, where visitors taste whisky straight from the cask.
It is non-chill-filtered and bottled in its natural colour. Notes of spice, zesty orange marmalade and dried fruits are described, balanced by the warmth of toasted oak.
