Bunnahabhain – 12 Year Old (46.3%)

Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old is the flagship Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain Distillery, first introduced in 1979 and relaunched in 2010. It is unpeated, without the heavy peat smoke usually associated with the island. The whisky is matured for 12 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, then bottled at 46.3% ABV, non-chill filtered and at natural colour. Dried fruit, toasted nuts, creamy vanilla and fresh citrus are the main notes, with gentle oak spice and a hint of sea salt.
