A single malt from Bunnahabhain, matured for 18 years in sherry casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The deep mahogany colour reflects the sherry maturation, and the whisky carries a tang of salt from its years of ageing at the coast.
The nose is fragrant, with dried fruit, honeyed nuts, toffee and a little spice. The palate brings mellow sherried nuts, dried fruit and rich oak alongside toffee and that salty tang. The finish is dry and fruity, with a hint of spice and salt.
