This is a 28 year old Bunnahabhain distilled in 1987 and bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd as part of its Exceptional Casks range. It was released in 49.7% ABV form, with 185 bottles filled. The whisky is unpeated, with a maritime character running through it.
The nose offers warm honey, aged wood, dried apricot and subtle spices. On the palate it is velvety, with dried fruit, soft sherry notes, nuts and an earthy undertone. The finish is long and layered.
