This is a 28 year old Bunnahabhain, an unpeated Islay single malt selected and bottled by Cadenhead's for its Small Batch range. It was distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2018 at 43.8% ABV.
The whisky matured in two bourbon hogsheads and was not finished in any other wood. The outturn is 432 bottles.
The nose brings salty sea air, beeswax, apple, light citrus peel and soft vanilla. The palate is oily and malty, with a little salt, soft oak and almond. The finish is long and dry, with a maritime freshness and light spice.
