A peated Bunnahabhain from Islay, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2022 by Duncan Taylor at 8 years old, in a 70cl bottle at 54.5% ABV. It spent the end of its maturation in an Octave cask, one of Duncan Taylor's small casks made by re-coopering a single sherry butt into eight.
The cask yielded 89 bottles at its natural cask strength.
The palate brings sea air, bonfire smoke, lemon zest and ash, with a creamy texture. The finish has gentle sherry and peat, smoked oysters, peppered mackerel and citrus zest.
