This is a 30-year-old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled by the distillery at 46.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-sherry casks and is released as a small batch.
The 30-year-old returned in 2020, after a ten-year gap since the previous 1980 vintage bottling of the same age, which was limited to 357 bottles.
The colour is golden syrup. The nose brings butterscotch, beeswax and sweet sherry, and the palate offers strawberries and cream, honey nut cereals and rich toffee. The finish is long, with stewed berries, ginger, spiced oak and salted caramel.
