A 34-year-old unpeated Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, distilled in 1989 and bottled in January 2024 by Gordon & MacPhail as part of its Connoisseurs Choice range. It was matured in a single refill American oak hogshead and bottled unfiltered, with its natural golden colour.
The nose combines orange oil, soft grass and green apple, with bright lime. On the palate there is pineapple and caramelised pear with lemon, creamy coconut and vanilla, then roasted peanuts and a fresh touch of peppermint. The finish is very long and ends in a fine, elegant spice.
