Bunnahabhain Abhainn Araig is an unpeated Islay single malt, bottled as the Fèis Ìle Edition 2022.
It was matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, then finished in PX sherry octaves. The name refers to the Araig River on Islay, which flows into the Margadale River, the water source for all Bunnahabhain whiskies.
The nose and palate bring milk chocolate, raisins and raspberries, followed by a little balsamic vinegar and macadamia nuts in honey. The finish is a deep toffee one with a spicy touch of cinnamon.
