Bunnahabhain – An Cidhe (50%)

An Cidhe is an Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled at 50% ABV. It is unpeated and non-chill-filtered. The whisky is matured in a combination of ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, which gives spicy sherry sweetness alongside fruity freshness, with a subtle coastal saltiness. The nose offers dried fruit, caramel and vanilla over a rich sherry background. The palate is creamy and layered, with dark fruit, nuts, gentle spice and salty notes, leading to a long, mineral finish.
