Bushmills – 16 Year Old Irish Whiskey

Bushmills 16 Year Old is an Irish single malt. It spends about 15 years in a mix of Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon-seasoned casks, then about nine months in port pipes, the large barrels traditionally used for port. The whiskey is described as layered, with juicy fruit, nuts and spice, and a hint of ruby red from the port finish. It is best enjoyed neat, though a single small cube of ice can be added to open it up.
