Bushmills 16 Year Old is an Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It spends 16 years in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon-seasoned casks.
It is then matured for several months in port wine barrels. This maturation gives a hint of ruby redness to the whiskey.
Tasting notes mention juicy fruits, nuts and spice. It can be taken neat or over ice.
