Bushmills 16 Years Three Wood is an Irish single malt from County Antrim, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It spends time in three kinds of cask: ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry and, to finish, port.
The nose combines oak and citrus fruit with marzipan and light, sweet vanilla. The palate is full, with pleasant sweetness, dried fruit, nuts and coffee, plus soft malt, popcorn and oak. The finish is long, with dark chocolate and a slightly dry note.
